The E-9 passive two-way column speaker is the smallest speaker in the series. It has four 4-inch midrange drivers, four 4-inch mid-bass drivers and a 1.4-inch compression driver mounted on a constant directivity horn. The high-frequency horn has a nominal coverage angle of 90x40° (hxv). The 4-inch driver has a unique cardioid directivity setting: radiated by special devices of the midrange and mid-bass drivers in the front and damping ports in the upper and lower parts, this design provides a constant directivity coverage of 90° horizontally, and has a special wide-band attenuation at the rear. The cardioid directivity generates minimal energy at the rear of the speaker, thereby reducing reflections and achieving a balanced sound level distribution throughout the listening area, which can improve the transmission gain when a microphone is working at the same time. The standard configuration of the E-9 series speakers is white or black, and a custom color (SC) option is also available, which can be customized in all colors in the RAL color card.
